Transposify support
Getting started
Transposify requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 15 or later and the Spotify desktop app. Play a song on this Mac, open Transposify from the menu bar, and allow its Spotify automation and audio-capture prompts. Use the minus and plus controls to change the key.
No audio or no song information?
In Spotify’s device picker, choose this computer. Playback on a phone or another computer cannot be processed locally. Check Transposify’s permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security. If you changed an audio device or permission, quit and reopen Transposify.
Instrument mixes and chords
Transposify 1.9.2 and later bundle the instrument-separation model, so no first-use model download is required. Initial model preparation can take a few seconds. Audio processing runs locally. Chord transcription needs to hear the song, and shared sheets may make an existing transcription available sooner. Key and chord estimates can be imperfect.
